Cider Saturday!

Join us with Erika and Kara... the world of sport vs pet. A world of conflict and team work, how to play in the street and more!

What We're Drinking:

Iceman- uses the process of freezing the juice from culinary and bittersweet apples to produce a rich, complex and unique cider with a crisp apple taste and notes of caramel and toffee. The addition of oak-aging yields a smooth and pleasing vanilla character. The result is a perfectly balanced, full-flavored cider with clean apple notes and a lingered toffee finish.

Sonoma Apple Cider- Using a unique blend of native organic apples, we handcraft each batch to bring out fresh, ripe apple aromas, carefully pairing sweet and tart varietals to ideal effect. The result is a clean, refreshing hard cider with noticeable complexity and a lively finish. All hail the little things. To our tastes, there’s simply more going on in here. Cheers.

Schillings Hard Cider Ascender- If you're looking for a bold, in-your-face cider, look no further. The Ascender captures the heart of every adrenaline seeking adventurer. Never afraid to climb too high or go too fast, the Ascender starts with a vigorous ginger bite and rewards your pallet with a smooth finish.

Okanagan Crip Apple-If anything could capture the delicious taste of fresh Okanagan apples, this would be it! It's made from Okanagan fruit for an authentic, homegrown cider experience. It's Seriously Good Cider.

Philly Pack weekend workshop. Krista lets us in on how she got her start. Artificial Strawberries are the worst... and is Rebecca going to turn into a stout lover?!?! All this and more!

Sarah is drinking:

Manayunk Brewery PBJ Crunch Porter:
As a kid, there was nothing more satisfying than a delicious PBJ sandwich. This staple could be found in most lunchboxes around America. Mouthwatering, ripe strawberries and delicious nutty peanut butter play in perfect harmony with this bold and malty Porter. Just don't pack this delicious beer for lunch. Or go ahead. We don't care.

Weyerbacher Sunday Morning Stout:
Sunday Morning Stout, 11.3% ABV, is an American Imperial Stout aged in bourbon barrels. The result? A beautiful ebony pour with a large, creamy, off-white head that lasts and lasts. The aromas of roasted coffee and bourbon awaken your senses while their flavors blend with hints of chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla and caramel.

Rebecca is drinking:

Lagunitas Cappccino Stout:

Up until the summer of 2010, we'd always had a little ditty on the side here that was a peon to a good old hot Cup o' Joe. It was built on the bones of the 23rd Psalm and went something like, "Coffee is my shepherd, I shall not..." but that was where the trouble started. Turns out talking about coffee's happy side on an ale label is verboton now in Amerika. So the things that I am allowed to say about it is that the Coffee is delicious; that the ale is delicious; and that together they are not worse than the sum of their individual deliciousness; most all of which are delicious. The label is glued on real well too, we make darn sure there are no holes in the glass, and that the cap stays put. We are proud of this, and which to brag about it all on this label, which is allowed by law.

Founders Breakfast Stout:
The coffee lover’s consummate beer. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and imported chocolates, and two types of coffee, this stout has an intense fresh-roasted java nose topped with a frothy, cinnamon-colored head that goes forever.

Josh and Dave are drinking:
Dragon's Milk by New Holland Brewing

A stout with roasty malt character intermingled with deep vanilla tones, all dancing in an oak bath. A whopping 11% alcohol!

Sarah is drinking:
Kelp Stout by Tofino Brewing
A dark, rich, full bodied ale brewed with locally harvested kelp, giving a unique, umami-type quality complex beer.

Rebecca is drinking:
Peanut Butter Milk Stout by Belching Beaver Brewery
It’s like dark chocolate Reese’s in a glass! Rolled oats and Lactose add to the creamy body of this beer while heavenly aromas of roasted buttery peanuts and chocolate greet you with every sip. Try this out with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a real treat!
